Finally!  This Saturday, May 5,  The Walloomsac Farmers Market  returns to the River Walk Park at the Bennington Station at Depot Street in Bennington.  Sun starved folks from all over the County will peel off the fleece and don their sunscreen.  The weekly Walloomsac Farmers Market happens every Saturday morning 10am to 1pm.  It has everything from fresh fruits, veggies, plants, flowers and herbs to local bakers, pies,Vermont maple and honey products, homemade crafts, foods and much more.  Join the shoppers and replenish you vitamin D while enjoying the locally grown and crafted edibles.

Vendors from Shaftsbury, Pownal, North Bennington and beyond will be brimming with offerings of farm fresh produce, meats, cheeses, baked good and other specialty foods.  With such an interest and sometimes concern with where our food originates, this is a great way to experience your food with the hands that picked it.  The farm-direct products are organic, high quality and exceptionally priced.  Families and individuals receiving public assistance can shop the market as State benefits are accepted.  Often you will find a local musician strumming or crooning as you shop and visit with neighbors, old friends and new ones.  The result is a vibrant community gathering.
