Bennington – A beautiful place! I’m Kathy Hoisington. I was born and raised in Bennington, Vermont and still find it the most wonderful community to live in. No matter where I go or what I do I always come home to Vermont so grateful to live in such a naturally beautiful place with little crime and traffic yet rich in cultural diversity and recreational activities. I used to say, like most young people, that I was planning my escape to bigger and better things but at some point I realized I had it all right here in southwestern Vermont. I hope you will join me on this blog and ask me questions, agree or disagree with me on issues and let me know if I am covering the subjects that you would most like addressed.
Through the years…. My expertise is based on 39 years of selling real estate in the greater Bennington, Vermont area, primarily in the communities from Pownal, Vermont north through the Arlington area. I have seen so many changes, many good and some quite frankly bad. Our office, Hoisington Realty, Inc. has weathered many ups and downs with the economy and we always have and will continue to stay the course. Even more than serving the public I am increasingly satisfied in my work of coaching and counseling my agents to even greater success. It has become a true vocation to teach and share what I have learned with my staff. We are the leader in residential sales for the Bennington area and I believe this is because my Realtors combine a thorough knowledge of the real estate market for southern Vermont with a commitment to the highest level of customer service and caring.
Specializing in Historic and Equine Properties. My thirst for knowledge never ends and my own specialty is marketing historic properties. I am also an equestrian and have a particular working knowledge of horse farms and Vermont farms in general. All of Vermont and in particular, Bennington County has miles and miles of scenic dirt roads and horse trails to enjoy. I don’t typically work with buyers anymore (unless it is a special request) but concentrate my activities on listing, marketing and working hand and hand with my superb Office Manager, Vicki Wilson. If you get to know me, you will know Vicki even better as she runs the show with efficiency, graciousness and humor. She is our guiding light!
